MeshGrid on Webrazzi
MeshGrid was recently featured on Webrazzi, one of Turkey’s most widely read technology publications. In the piece, journalist Tuğçe İçözü explores how MeshGrid helps field teams stay coordinated when cellular networks and internet access are unavailable or unreliable.
The article highlights what we built MeshGrid for: a shared offline map and encrypted team messaging over a LoRa mesh, without depending on cell towers or public internet. It walks through the two parts of the system — the MeshGrid iPhone app and the MeshGrid Node hardware that carries data across distance using Bluetooth, LoRa, and GPS — and our custom MeshLink protocol for end-to-end encrypted device-to-device communication.
Webrazzi also notes the field use cases we care about most: search and rescue, disaster response, outdoor and security teams, and any group that needs off-grid map and messaging in demanding conditions. The coverage mentions our field testing progress, acceptance into the Tech Istanbul Nova accelerator program, and our focus on making setup straightforward compared with more complex DIY mesh stacks.
If you read Turkish, the full article is worth a look — it goes deeper on map tools, drawing layers, weather overlays, and where we’re headed next, including broader sensor data over the mesh.
We’re grateful for the coverage and for helping more teams discover what offline coordination can look like when the network goes down.
